The Florida Rotary license plate initiative was spearheaded thanks to the leadership of Liz Fields, Rotary’s Camp Florida Executive Director, and the support of all eight Rotary Districts in the state of Florida—and a multi-year team of District Governors.
The Florida Rotary tag was first conceived as an opportunity to fund the camp. Now, through the involvement of multiple Rotarian leaders in the capacities of District Governor-level roles and Camp Florida’s volunteer Board of Directors, the tag is now a reality.
Benefitting Signature Programs
Camp Florida is located in Brandon, Florida, and it is a project born of Rotarians who wanted to create a campground where children of all ages and special needs could have a safe environment to camp with their families.
Today the opportunity to continue serving children at Rotary’s Camp Florida makes it even more important to ensure its funding with a noble cause like the Florida Rotary specialty license plate initiative.
